Author Tours 2007

During 2007 Cairns Libraries hosted a number of Australian authors for adults and children.

Big Book Club 2007

In partnership with the State Library of Queensland, the Courier-Mail Big Book Club, ABC Far North and local booksellers, Angus & Robertson, Earlville, Cairns Libraries hosted Australian author, Monica McInerney at Earlville Library on Monday 29 October 2007.  Enthusiastic readers and fans met and discussed Monica’s books.  Many purchased copies of her latest books.

World Link Cairns 2007

Cairns Libraries was successful in gaining a Strategic Development Grant from State Library of Queensland to tour 5 Australian authors.

The touring authors were:

24-26 July
25 August - 1 September
13-15 September
16-18 October
