The spacious and comfortable Mossman Library is situated in Mill Street in the sugar town of Mossman. The Mossman Library underwent major renovations and refurbishment in 2006 and was the main Library for the Douglas Shire. Mossman Library is now the most northern of Cairns Libraries 10 branches servicing areas from Daintree to Port Douglas.

Mossman Library has an extensive Local History collection that concentrates on the Mossman, Port Douglas and Daintree areas along with an Indigenous Collection that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our area.

The children's area is bright, stimulating and a fun learning space for kids and their parents. Baby rhyme time and Storytime sessions are held each week for children from 0 to 5 years. A Bi-lingual German storytime is held each Tuesday at 10.30. Other fun things include puzzles, dress-up and a playstation. Craft, boardgames and other activites are available during the school holidays.

Eight public internet access computers are available to residents and visitors.
