Earlville Library was opened in the Stockland Earlville Shopping Centre on 23 November 2003 and is Cairns Libraries second largest branch. It has recently relocated within the same Centre and is now located near the south-eastern entrance. The Children's section at the rear of the library features colourful artwork and is very popular with both children and parents. Regular story times have proved to be very successful in this stimulating environment. The library also features a dedicated Youth Area with pop art features designed to make the library a welcoming place for the youth of the area. A Cairns Regional Council office (open weekdays) is located within the library area, allowing members and other residents the opportunity to conduct Council business at the same time as their library visit.
